On April 12, 2024, I released my latest single, “Never Coming Down” by Flucee. This track is the second single from the upcoming “redux” version of my album, following the success of my previous single, “Writing on the Wall.” With “Never Coming Down,” I aimed to showcase my songwriting capabilities and deliver a sound that is different from what I have brought before.
Creating “Never Coming Down” was a unique process for me. Unlike my usual approach of writing the lyrics first and then recording them in one session, I wrote the song as I recorded, with a primary focus on crafting the melody. This unconventional method allowed me to experiment and explore new creative avenues.
When I first heard the beat produced by ifeel, I immediately felt a strong influence of Kid Cudi’s vibes, along with hints of Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. These artists have always inspired me, and their influence can be heard in the overall theme and delivery of “Never Coming Down.”
The theme of “Never Coming Down” revolves around my unwavering hunger for creating great music and my hopes of achieving success in the industry. Through this song, I aim to connect with my listeners on a deeper level and inspire them to pursue their own dreams relentlessly.
The track showcases a chill, vibey, and purposeful delivery, which is a fresh departure from some of my previous releases. With each new release, my goal is to bring something new and exciting to the table for my listeners, and “Never Coming Down” is my most melodic and experimental track yet.
One notable decision I made during the creation of this song was to refrain from using any adlibs. I truly believed that the song was already great without them, and I did not want to fix anything that wasn’t broken. However, as is often the case with my singles, there may be added enhancements to “Never Coming Down” in time for the redux release.
Stay tuned for more updates and announcements regarding the redux version of my album, where “Never Coming Down” will take its place as a standout track. I am incredibly excited to share this new sound and experience with all of you, and I hope that you will join me on this musical journey.
