The longtime moniker of independent electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist Ernesto Couso, The Ekuba Project (TEP) makes a long-awaited return to unleash his high-octane new signature track, “Nitro (No Fear). The single is a powerful testament to over a decade of sonic evolution, from his latest studio album, Midnight Asphalt (2026). Couso takes care of writing, arrangement, and execution completely on his own, steering clear of the typical commercial EDM clichés to produce a driving, late-night electronic anthem based solely on raw energy and natural creative instincts.
The sound of “Nitro (No Fear)” hits a perfect sweet spot between the driving, groove-heavy architecture of house and the darker, cinematic industrial sounds. The song has a strong, uncompromising tone from the very first sequence, powered by heavy synth configurations and a relentless, fast-paced percussion arrangement. The self-recorded album allows its textures to soar effortlessly, with dense synthetic waves and subtle melodic shifts layered atop an incisive final mix, yet still with an altogether club-ready edge.
