Having been born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, JusHarry established himself very early as a talent that would be recognized within the world of hip-hop. Losing Focus, his first release, is a comprehensive personal reflection of events, while track five, “King,” is an assured testimony of musical competence.
Released on October 9, 2024, “King” provides a conceited perspective within the Losing Focus EP. The single tackles problems of sanity, ego, envy, and dependence over an ambient trap-influenced background led by a contagious hook. Given its relatively minimal run-time, the record provides a deep impact, boasting JusHarry’s ability to self-analyze alongside assured lyricism.
Since his summer 2020 arrival, JusHarry has been causing a stir on the scene, gaining the ears of BBC, Reprezent, Foundation FM, and KISS FM. His track “Way Out” had listeners captivated with sharp wordplay and storytelling, delivered over a deeper, raspier vocal and performance.
In 2022, JusHarry’s style continued with highlights including a Crepe City Sneaker Festival bill spot in Glasgow—the first time in Scotland—and two consecutive nights at New Skool Rules in Rotterdam, both of which received critical acclaim. His talent and work were once more noticed when he was featured in Issue 001 of The Basement Magazine as one to watch amongst 644’s, in Wordplay Magazine and Desert Island Cloud Magazine, among others.
Aside from being a musician, JusHarry is committed to breaking stereotypes when it comes to autism. As a musician on the spectrum himself, he uses his platform to empower and challenge individuals’ ideas and become an inspiration to others on the spectrum.
JusHarry’s Rise in Hip-Hop
With new music, projects, and content in the pipeline, JusHarry is poised to share his evolution as an artist, speaking to his experience as a creator and as an individual. With greater success on the way, “King” is a reflection of his determination, talent, and passion for his craft.
For those prepared to be amused by JusHarry’s high-octane creativity, “King” and the entire Losing Focus EP are now available on mainstream streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. More from this emerging artist will no doubt appear as he continues to remake the face of Scottish hip-hop.
