Equipped with a guitar and a harmonica, Sprouse dedicated an astounding 14-16 hours each day to teaching himself music. Rather than focusing on playing existing songs, he found immense joy in crafting new melodies. This rigorous practice and dedication paid off by the fall of 2009, when he managed to record four original songs with the help of friends.
Although these tracks were played on a local Farmville radio station, they were never officially released. Despite this, Sprouse still holds these songs dear, viewing them as significant milestones in his musical journey. Fast forward fifteen years, and Jay Sprouse has recently released ‘Runaway’ on May 12, 2024. This release is a testament to his enduring passion and dedication to music, even if his earlier works remain unrecognized.
