AfriKane’s musical roots did not happen overnight. Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist he spent years honing his skills on the European music scene, performing live, rapping, and writing for a variety of successful acts. He spent a decade in Norway, absorbing a sleek, atmospheric European indie-pop sensibility that he now seamlessly anchors to his deep African roots.
This friction and harmony between two worlds is exactly what defines his signature genre: melancholic deep pop. It’s a place where jazz, soul, and R&B come together with heartfelt lyricism for those whose hearts feel deeply.
After critical praise and early industry buzz ahead of its release, AfriKane’s debut EP as a singer-songwriter and co-producer, Sincerely AfriKane, officially dropped on May 22, 2026. With songs like “Legacy,” “Breathe,” and “My City,” the project solidifies his position as an artist that’s not afraid to take quiet, introspective moments and turn them into grand sonic landscapes.
