Third Development is back with an explosive new single for the summer of 2024 titled “Our Parallel Worlds.” Released on June 14, 2024, this track is already making waves in the music scene. Critics like Dancing About Architecture have described it as a “vangelisian pop-scape,” highlighting its unique sound and innovative composition.
The new single features Canadian guest artist Ali Wick on lead vocals. Wick’s sultry and almost hypnotic performance instantly captures the listener’s attention. Her unique voice leaves one wanting more after every line she delivers. The unexpected unfolds during the bridge of the song, where Italian opera singer Francesca Maionchi takes center stage. Maionchi, known for touring with Andrea Bocelli, launches into a dreamy opera segment, singing Wick’s lines in Italian: “parallel worlds, separate galaxies. but parallel worlds, all cross eventually.” This surprise performance adds a beautiful, highly unique escape for the listener.
Geoffrey James, the song composer and band lead, maintains the signature world vibe that has been present in all of Third Development’s work. The track features a more upbeat vibe infused with Turkish guitar, a flute performance by returning Helsinki flutist Livia Schweizer, and a powerful bass performance by the band’s producer and mix engineer Sara Fedi in Tuscany, Italy. The mastering was completed by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Emily Lazar in NYC, adding the final polish to this global collaboration.
“Our Parallel Worlds” delivers a diverse, unpredictable, and addictive listening experience that only Third Development can offer. The combination of unique vocal performances, global musical elements, and top-notch production makes this track a standout. It’s pure bliss and a must-listen for music enthusiasts this summer.
